Miranda! Miranda !!

Jane beckoned to the air hostess, kindly inform the pilot that I would like to make a quick stop in Italy. Craving some pasta and gelato, from the very best before we head home. She was rounding up her summer vacation after being in over three continents. Accompanied by a complete wardrobe revamp, the pieces she just purchased off the runway won’t even fit into her closet.

Jerking up from the bed after a series of loud knocks on the door, It was a cold and rainy Wednesday morning.

Jeff her younger brother was at it again, Mummy is complaining, would you not join her in making breakfast? Are your limbs broken? She asked, why don’t you assist her if you care that much? Whatever he said dashing off. Her imaginative summer abruptly ended by her brother, She was furious as she was just about to try out her pieces in the prestigious Prada house.

Growing up in a relatively average African family, there was so much she was limited to. All she could do was imagine, possibilities were limitless in our imaginations. You could have anything, be anywhere, be anyone. No class, complexion, social strata, or acceptance stood in the way. She lived there, it was painless, surreal, and free.

A first-class citizen of imagination, she was fully in control of her life, and emotions. Just like Jane, I love to live in my imagination, the uncertainty that comes with life is nerve-wracking.

Having all these beautiful plans for your future and not coming to futility can leave one perplexed.

23, I will be working in a multinational firm, and live in my own apartment. Go on yearly vacation to Seychelles, Santorini, or the Maldives, with a quick stop at maybe Paris or New York to pick off designer pieces to stunt on these Lagos people when I return. All the style blogs must upload my pictures for styling inspiration.

Get married to the peaceful, loving, charming, caring love of my life at whatever age you have imagined. Have a beautiful destination wedding. Wedding blog content you know and whatever you must have imagined in that beautiful mind of yours.

“Hahahahaha”

“You don’t know what it is going on

“You don’t know about it”

Life says to us

In all of these disappointments, trials, heartbreaks, pain, and losses. I have learned to appreciate life must than ever, to see the beauty in the struggle. To paint my canvas with whatever oil life serves me.

So, I pledge today and always

Yeah To do my best

To pick me up whenever I fall

To keep hope alive

To live my best life

For me, and I
